I'm Tom, I'm a serial (also see: cereal) Marketer and Marketing leader. I help build brands that will have a lasting significance. My specialty is helping cybersecurity and AI companies differentiate and stand out, grow the business and ultimately become category leaders with great outcomes.
My Story
Why do I have this website?
Well, I love technology, mainly cybersecurity and AI tech. I love solving complex challenges to power the growth of the companies I work for and advise. I enjoy showcasing my work and the individual contributions I make to build great brands and grow businesses that are mission-critical to our economy and national security.
I currently am the Chief Marketing Officer at VulnCheck, an exploit intelligence company that is on the rise. Some of my recent work at VulnCheck is featured here. But I also advise other early-stage startups to help them position competitively, pitch to get funding, build core tools, messaging and content assets to generate awareness, leads and new business.
I've worked with cyber brands including Finite State, Cyware, RiskRecon, (acquired by Mastercard) Morphisec, Security Innovation, (acquired by ) Q1 Labs (acquired by IBM) and Application Security, Inc. (acquired by Trustwave) Other brands include BitSight, SecurityScorecard, Autumn8, Securin and Wiser AI.

Why cybersecurity? I've spent the past 20 years working in the cybersecurity industry, running Marketing teams and also advising cybersecurity founders and CEOs on winning Marketing strategies. Cyber is essential to our way of life, our digital existence and unlike other software categories, cyber has to compete with advanced attacker skillsets and new tools that use AI and automation to execute better, more lucrative or disruptive attacks. Its an understatement to say cyber is important - but it is, and it represents good vs evil, and that keeps me energized.
